It's Getting Cold :(

I really don't mind winter actually but it's the rain I can't stand.. anyone in London who commutes will feel my pain - why are the bloody train services subject to weather only? On normal days they're fine but as soon as the heavens open it's like Armageddon.. Anywayy I won't rant today I really need to do some work, so here's a simple outfit for the cold and casual but not so rainy days.

Eid and the after effect

Assalamualaikum dear friends and readers. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon all of you. And I hope that everyone is in good health and enjoying your life wherever you are.

Right now, it's raining non-stop in Kota Bharu and the weather seems to be staying like that maybe until tomorrow. The rain has been pouring since early last night and hasn't stop till now. However, alhamdulillah... on the Eid day, the weather was very bright and shining. Thanks to Allah that has bestow upon us the good weather so that we can make the sacrifice in good conditions.

It is a four day Eid for Kelantanese and it has always been like that since I'm small. Kelantanese celebrates Aidul-Adha a bit grander and longer than others in Malaysia. We know that Aidul-Fitr is a big day for everyone but to most of Kelantanese Aidul-Adha is bigger. I don't really know the specific reasons for that but from my own experience, people here start celebrating the coming Eid starting from the 1st. day of Zulhijjah by fasting and the Arafah day. We were taught to feel the same experience of those doing their hajj in Makkah so that we will always thought about performing the hajj too, the mabrur hajj. Anyway this feeling that I'm not able to tell you because my lacking of the right words for it, is starting to loose it's meaning when modernization came.

Well, nobody is to be blamed because I'm also do not do enough efforts in preserving that feeling. I don't know. I think I'm getting sloppy in my ibadah, that's why I am loosing the real spirit and meaning of both Eids especially Aidul-Adha.

Apart from that, Aidul-Adha is the day when people sacrifice a sheep or a goat or a cow as a sacrificial imitation of the Prophet Ibrahim sacrificing his son, the Prophet Ismail (there's more to this story than what I'm stating here, so please do more reading). This year I'm not able to do it but some of my siblings and also my parent did sacrificed a cow. My father slaughtered the cow as always and then many family members helped to cut the meat and devided them into 7 parts. 4 parts are my family's which we then devided again into smaller portions to be devided to our relatives, faqirs (the poors), and some are for us to make food for the helpers and a bit is stored for us. Alhamdulillah all the meat have found the rightful owners.

One of the food is the dalca or mix vege curry that I've eaten with white rice.

Besides that, here and there people are inviting us to their majlis such as wedding celebrations, aqiqahs and 'open house' events which means we will be consuming varieties of food mainly made from meat. Oh my! Just imagine what is the big after effect from those food. Allahu Akbar! They have made me sick of stomach ache and diarrhea since last night. I feel like lying down but today is the KINDY day at our house. There are 7 kids below 11 playing and bickering everywhere in this house. I just couldn't live my mom, sister and maid looking after them without helping at all. So, no napping for me. Actually they are my nieces and nephew who are left here because their parents (my sisters) are already working today while my youngest sister and I are still on holiday.

Between the toilet, kitchen and the kids, I try to sqeeze a little time to write this, hehe. Oh no! Mom is scolding someone out there. Got to go now. Those kids are really pressing their luck with my ill mother. Bye for now. Wassalam.

Eid Mubarek :D

Sorry it's late :S I've been a bit busy. I thought I'd make a few tweaks to the blog layout as I, understandably, got bored of plain white after a year. If you don't like it don't worry, I will no doubt, have another blog-midlife crisis.

What Is Eid Ul Adha?

This very important Muslim holiday is celebrated at the end of Hajj, which is an annual pilgrimage to Mecca. The ‘Festival of Sacrifice’ is followed by a ‘Feast of Sacrifice’, which pays homage to the Prophet Abraham’s(PBUH) unselfish act of sacrificing his son, Ishmael, to God. In turn, God spared the boy’s life and instead substituted a sheep. Now in remembrance, people sacrifice a lamb, goat, or other animal, and give the meat to family, friends, relatives, and most importantly, the poor.

Eid-Ul-Adha is a four-day holiday and celebration. It commences on the 10th day of Thul Hijjah and is celebrated in a manner similar to Eid-Ul-Fitr. It starts with a special holiday prayer, performed in congregation in the Masjid (Mosque) or other suitable place. It is a time of celebration, of visiting family and friends and of thanking ALLAH (Subhanahu wa ta'ala), for all the blessings bestowed upon us. Fasting is prohibited during these days.

Eid Ul Adha Prayer

Allaho-Akber, Allaho-Akber. La ila-ha ill-lal-lah. Allaho-Akber, Allaho-Akber. Wa-lilahill hamd.

(Allah is great, Allah is great. There is no god but Allah. Allah is great, Allah is great. And all praises are for Allah).

The Sacrifice Prayer
Innee waj-jahtu wajhiya lilladhee fataras-samaawaati wal-arda haneefan wa maa ana minal-mushrikeen
Inna salaatee wa nusukee wa mahyaaya wa mamaatee lillaahi rabbil-‘aalameen • Laa shareeka lahu wa bi dhalika umirtu wa ana aw-walul-muslimeen.
Allaahumma minka wa laka
Bismillaahi Allaahu akbar
(Verily I divert my attention to the Lord Who has created the heavens and the earth: (I do so) as one by nature upright, and I am not of the idolaters. Truly my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are all for Allah the Lord of the Worlds He has no partner and thus am I commanded and I am the first of those who surrender to Him. Oh Allah! (This sacrifice is) from You and for You; In the name of Allah. Allah is the Greatest!)

Allaahumma taqabbalhu minnee kamaa taqabbalta min habeebika Muhammadin wa khaleelika Ibraahima ‘alayhimas-salaatu was-salaam.
(O Allah! Accept this from me as You accepted it from Your beloved Muhammad and Your befriended Ibrahim, peace and blessings be upon them both.)

Exclusively Kelantan: The Purchasing Power of Kelantanese!

Assalamualaikum and a very good afternoon everyone. Hopefully all of you are in good health and enjoying your day with your loved ones.

Lately, I'm not much of a writer because I have to allocate more time for my assignments and the coming final exam which will start on the 16 Dec. Actually the exam week started 2 days ago but I don't have any paper until that date. However I still spare some time to read some of my friends blogs and blog-hopping anywhere interesting. From the hopping around that I've made, I found this interesting article about one small part of my beloved home-state, Kelantan. As a good citizen, I'd like to share the article with you, my beloved readers and visitors. InsyaAllah the OWNER of the original article had given his approval for me to re-post it here.

So, here's the article!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here are Top Ten "Purchasing Power" as the evidence to the existence of economic growth achieved by the state government through some of the implementation reflecting under the Islamic-approaches of Kelantan state government almost 20 years in the driving seat parallel with prospect of 2015 Kelantan State Growth. The PAS government leading this Mecca-Veranda as dubbed (by Malaysian) apparently interprets the manifestation after massive changes for its dwellers despite mainstream media negatively labeling Kelantan as poverty-stricken state! These are some of the proofs to crystallize the  (accusation from) Malicious Mainstream Media of Malaysia!. I will describe it as Exclusively Kelantan: Republic of Islam: The Purchasing Power of Kelantanese, Kota Bharu The Islamic City's Radius.
This is (one of) the most establish hyper-mart in Kelantan since its opening in 1995. Billion hypermarket (Kota Sri Mutiara) is situated adjoining Renaissance Hotel on the right side.
Kota Bharu Mall or KB Mall is one of the most strong purchasing power for Kelantanese after  it was officially opened 4 years ago because of its strategically-situated at the entrance of Kota Bharu City.
Pelangi Mall, was built beside the Kelantan River's river banks still waiting for its D-Day to be officially opened for public perhaps by early of next year.
Kota Bharu Trade Center or KBTC 's Parkson-cum-Giant was opened to public on September this year is another KB Mall-type shopping mall of strong purchasing power to the Kelantanese particularly in Kota Bharu Radius .
Low-price mart, Tesco enter its first east-coast markets by choosing Kota Bharu, Kelantan as their main destination and reportedly gaining huge returns from their monthly emolument.
Kubang Kerian Square or (in short) KK Square located in Kubang Kerian Satellite Town officially opened for public a couple of months ago. Situated nearby the new Mydin Mart (see below) and in front of the Hospital USM.
This is new Mydin Mart, retails and wholesales hyper-marts located in Kubang Kerian Sattelite Town. This mart was dubbed as Subang Mydin-like because of its capacity to welcome large quantity of customers!
This is Pengkalan Chepa's Pantai Timur Hypermarket, one of the low-price mart in Kota Bharu situated near the entrance of Kelantan domestic airport, the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport.
Ceria Supermarket giving most promising low-price retails and wholesales goods as it serves to the people around Wakaf Che Yeh new-development area, in particular.
Bilal Supermarket, the Islamic-undercover of Chinese company serving low-price for daily chores and fresh goods situated at Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra.
Growth Together With Islam..!
Hope you find it interesting and informational as I did.
al-Fateh, thank you.
The abayat is here and let's have our breakfast
Assalamualaikum and a very good morning everyone!
Alhamdulillah we are blessed again with a new day and hopefully a wonderful one till the end of day. An hour ago my husband and I went to collect our package that have arrived from Dubai. You know... those abayat... yes, the second purchase of 20 pieces of beautiful abayat have safely arrived at my house. FYI, I don't have a real shop yet, for the time being my goods will be arranged nicely in order at one corner of my bedroom. I'm sorry "books" because you would have to spare some space for the abayat now.
As you can guess, I just can't wait to unwrapped the package but I cooled down my eagerness and do the Subh prayer first with as much concentration as I can. I think I thanked Allah so much for making the journey of my package safe from Dubai-Kuala Lumpur-Bangi-Kota Bharu. InsyaAllah my customers who are waiting for their abayat (I think they planned to wear it for Eid) will received them by tomorrow. I shall post them today, got to fulfilled my promise to them. Keeping our promise is wajib.
I've unpacked or unwrapped the package and ... MashaAllah....I'm so so glad to say all of the abayat are made to satisfaction. Need to thank Nani for her efficient services and also her patience with me. Thank you very much Nani, they are gorgeous yet modest!
Upon looking at the clock, I have to leave the abayat at the side for a while and make coffee for dear husband. In this cold and rainy weather, drinking hot coffee and eating sweet hot food is very welcoming. However, I haven't cooked anything yet so just find two packets of Mochachips and gonna enjoy them with my husband.
Mmmm.... they are yummy!
Have you ever eat this cookies? Alhamdulillah there are plenty of Halal biscuits and cookies in Malaysia. Hopefully there are plenty at your place too. Whenever I ate something ready-made which was bought at the supermarket, deli or 24 hours store, I always thought about my sisters who are not so lucky and have difficult access to Halal food. Maybe in todays advance world, Halal products can easily be found in every countries.
I'm thankful for this blessings of Allah and I hope everyone in this world is entitled to clean, healthy food and better if it is Halal. While I'm enjoying this cookies, someone, somewhere is hungry and suffering from hunger. My heart goes to them and I pray to Allah for their rezki (I don't know how to translate this Arabic word to English) and really hope that their hunger will be appeased.
And starting from today I'm gonna quote the translation of an ayat from the Qur'an that I open randomly. Today's translation is from Surah Yunus, verse 24.
24. The likeness of the life on this world is as the water which We send down from the sky, causing all kinds of plants to grow which men and cattle eat; so much so that when the land puts on its golden raiment and is adorned, and its owners think that they are masters over it, there comes to it Our Command by night or by day, so We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not been there the day before. Thus do We explain the signs for people who reflect.
Bye for now. May Allah bestow upon us His love and blessings and keep our heart firmly on His Deen.
Wassalam.
It's A Fair Affair..
Following some comments I had in previous posts about how there aren't any black Muslimah models out there I wanted to prove that models are in no way more beautiful on the 'lighter' side. Coming from an Arab culture where generally speaking the lighter you are, the better (has anybody seen that bloody "fair and lovely" advert?! I actually want to scratch their eyes out and ask them wth they are trying to make themselves look so western?) I have had to put up with being told that Arabic/Asians who are quite frankly plain Janes (or more fittingly, plain Aishas..) are gorgeous because they are all fair and lovely.. In fact I have found the more stunning models have a bit of colour in them (although you can't quite apply this theory to the runway as most of them are pale and underfed anyway..)
SO, enough of my rant.. here are some not so fair yet lovely black Muslimahs:
I looove this!
Check out the Around The World: Hijab Style posts for more and stick two fingers up at "Fair and Lovely". Black is beautiful!! I feel like I shouldn't even be having to clarify this point but I guess some people are still a bit shallow..
Accepting Allah in Our Lives *
By Kamal Badr, Editor in Chief — IslamOnline.net
Allah's bounties on His creatures are countless.
This is the message of peace, the message of salvation. This is the message of liberation from being enslaved to mundane things that keep shackling souls with worries and sorrows.
This is a call from the One Who controls everything, calling you, humankind, to submit!
Submit your life to Him and be calm. Make your motto of life La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah).
By this motto, you testify to your incapacity as a creature provided with limited faculties. You testify that everything in the universe belongs to Him and whatever He wants will come to pass in the way and the time He wants. You testify to your being created by Him in the way He wants:
[He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He likes; there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise.](Aal `Imran 3:6)
But despite His absolute power to do everything in anyway He likes, what we notice is that out of His infinite mercy He made everything perfect, created you and all what you see around you in the most beautiful way that we all behold:
[He has created the heavens and the earth in just proportions, and has given you shape and made your shapes beautiful: And to Him is the final Goal.](At-Taghabun 64:3)
[No want of proportion will you see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn your vision again: See you any flaw? Again turn your vision a second time: (Your) vision will come back to you dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.](Al-Mulk 67:3-4)
Due to His mercy the abnormalities are subject to the law of rarity; that is, ever since the creation of Heaven and earth and the creation of Adam up to the present day, there is not any irregularity in the pattern of creation, and whatever few abnormalities that we see are also subject to His divine wisdom.
Despite all the constant recklessness of humankind, painful consequences never occur in a proportional measure, subhan Allah (glory be to Allah)! Compared to the high rate of speed-limit violations, how many accidents occur daily? Very few! Actually, His mercy exceeds His wrath.
[Whatever misfortune happens to you is because of the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness.](Ash-Shura 42:30)
Another point here is, your testifying to Allah's almighty power is an explicit recognition of your limit as a human being. By pronouncing the words "la ilaha illa Allah," you are actually surrendering your limited power to the mighty Lord of unlimited power; you submit your will to Him. This is Islam.
But this attestation can never be genuine if it is not accompanied by love, because faith without love is dead. If you do not love Him, you will not genuinely obey Him. This is different from relationships between mortals where hypocrisy can prevail, making it hard to distinguish between genuine and fake love.
But with Almighty Allah everything is transparent, so when we talk about this highest degree of love we talk about something that is not tainted with any hypocrisy or deceit. So the true and genuine Shahadah in Islam is the one coated with love: loving Allah, which of course is the sublime love. This love will automatically make it easier to show full obedience to His commands,
[Say: If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults](Aal `Imran 3:31).
Thus you will find yourself spontaneously pronouncing the phrase "Muhammad Rasul Allah" (Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah) which is the second part of Shahadah in Islam.
Then bit by bit you will find yourself on a very smooth spiritual path whereby the relationship you have developed with Allah will direct light into your heart, melting away darkness. Thus the phrase "la ilaha illa Allah" will echo in all what you do, what you see, what you hear, etc.
That is, it will develop into a conviction in your innermost self, reassuring you that it is through His command and wishes that everything happens. Hence this conviction is iman (faith) reposing in your heart. Henceforth your manners will be in proportional compatibility with that faith. That means you have accepted Allah into your life.
Spending time with Baba Ali
yes... figuratively speaking.
Actually I'm watching his videos. Would you like to watch with me? Let's sit down together and listen carefully with me while we watch him talking.
As a born Muslim, I really like what he's saying.
And I understand, agree and support it.
Allahu'alam.
Life Must Go On, A Reminder to Me
Assalamualaikum dear sisters and brothers (if any of you are here).
I'm sorry for not writing anything yesterday. My life is a bit busy recently and I've encountered a few problems with my bank. And also it is mt week to complete my assignments that were supposed to be submitted today. However, my tutors are out of the State and I have to postpone submitting the assignments. Actually it was a relief because I can recheck them and make some adjustment.
Anyway, after the recent events that have shocked like the whole Muslim community especially in youtube, I kept reading more Qur'an, try to do my solah sincerely and have several discussions with my friends regarding that. I have to thank those two girls for making me seeking my Deen more and feeling closer to religious people. To learn Islam, first and foremost we have to learn the tawhid and although I already learn and know about it, it seems I need to strengthen my understanding and knowledge on it. I believe that when we really understand the tawhid then our hearts will be stronger on this Deen.
My Holy Qur'an with Text and Translation from Yayasan Restu.
However, just now I randomly open up the Qur'an with translation and this is the page that was opened:
Translation of Surah Az-Zumar (The Multitudes or The Groups): ayah 71 - 75
"And those who disbelieve shall be taken to Hell in multitudes; until when they come to it, its doors will be opened, and its keepers will say to them: "Did not messengers from among yourselves come to you (apostles), reciting to you the Signs of your Lord, and warning you of the Meeting of this Day of yours?" They will reply: "Yea!" And the Word of torment was bound to be fulfilled in respect of the unbelievers." (71)
"It will be said: "Enter the gates of Hell, abiding therein, and evil is the abode of the arrogant." (72)
"And those who feared their Lord will be taken to the Garden in multitudes; until when they come to it, its doors will be opened, and its keepers will say: "Peace be upon you, you will be happy, so enter it to abide forever." (73)
"And they will say: "All praise is due to Allah, Who has fulfilled His Promise to us, and made us inherit the land; we may dwell in the Garden wherever we please"; how excellent is the reward of the (pious workers!)" (74)
"And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne on all sides, glorifying and praising their Lord; and it will be judged between them with justice, and it will be said: "All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds!" (75)
I feel like crying but my heart are quite stubborn to let me do it. I know, this is a reminder to me. Alhamdulillah, random opening of the Quran has lead me to this. Thank you O Allah!
... and I thought she only wanted to be hijabless
Assalamualaikum to all dear friends and readers.
Most of you must have already heard the news about our well known cute sister who has left Islam a few days ago. Actually to me it's more shocking because I know two sisters who are so famous in the Youtube world for their hijab and niqab styles videos, left Islam recently. I'm still in shock of the news on the first sister and today when I login to Youtube, there's this video from another sister, hijabless. Allahu Akbar!
Allah knows best but I am really saddened by both news. I don't know what's triggered them to leave Islam but I feel betrayed by them especially when I read their latest facebook updates prior to their decision. I'm sorry, but I can't help feeling like that. I know that have their own reasons to take that decision. I'm not going to criticize their action because I'm no one. My knowledge in Islam is still not much and my good deed as a Muslim is so little, so I just can pray for them.
I know life as a Muslim after reverting and living in a non-Muslim countries, is mostly hard. That's from stories that I've read from fellow sisters' blogs. I did cried to most of the stories and experiences that my fellow Muslim sisters have gone through to keep their imaan. I'm so so thankful to Allah for giving me life as a Muslim since birth, alhamdulillah. And I'm so sorry for those sisters but I am also proud of them for being able to find strength and peace in Islam although they were discriminated, harassed, abused and even murder threat. For me who's born Muslim, they are a better Muslims than me and I always thought that they cherished Islam better than me because it so hard for them to find it. Sometimes born Muslims take Islam for granted.
Thinking about those two ex-Muslim sisters, my heart goes heavy with sadness. I'm asking myself, what have I done to help? Right now I'm only capable of making du'a for them to see the light of truth again despite their grief over what has happen recently in their life. May Allah always keep us on the His deen and show us the right way to Him. And I pray to Allah for His blessings and to keep our hearts firm on His deen.
I'm going to miss sis K and sis E. InsyaAllah I won't be unsubscribing from their YT account and even though one sister already change her account, I've already subscribe so that my ties with her wouldn't lost forever. May Allah show them the light of Islam again.
Hijab Styling Tutorials: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly
The net absolutely is brimming to the rim with hijab styling ideas but sorting the wheat from the chaff can be quite a daunting prospect so usually I just give up and stick to a couple of my everyday styles. In a moment of madness, however (most probably brought on by the fact that I have inhumane amounts of university work to do..) I thought I'd take on the world of hijab tutorials head on - with google. Here's a sample of what I dug up, with comments of course..
The 'it looks simple enough but in hijab reality, with that material, it would actually require nine pins to stay in place' look:
The 'perfect for work' look that makes us seriously consider a broach or two..
The old faithfuls, ahh how we love you:
The evolution of the old faithfuls: they have got their perks of course, but are never quite as trusty (or as simple) as the originals:
The 'I went to bed in my (bargin bucket) headscarf and one earring' look.
The elegant drape look:
The old 'I have a headache' look
And last but by all means not least, the 'Igal and Shemagh looks better on women anyway..' look
So which is your favorite? (I know you probably won't be able to answer that as the choice of stylish looks out there is just so extensive..!)
They don't know what they're missing.
Hmm... what exactly am I saying here?
Am I talking about food? Or is it about the new book that I am reading?
No, no and NO.
My family members kept asking, "Don't you feel hot wearing it everyday?"
My friends regularly said, "You must be bored of looking at the same colour inside your wardrobe."
Someone said to me, "Hey sis, where did you get this dress? I haven't seen any around here."
A salesclerk at a local woman's boutique whispered to her colleague while smiling at me, "Wow... your dress is so beautiful sis! You looks so elegant!" (Thank you! :D )
My mom waiting for me beside my car under the scorching sun, "Aren't you feel hot wearing that on a day like this?"
Girls in the Library giving me a weird look.
When I offer them the dress, most would say that, this is not their style and wearing it must be hot.
They are short and it will make them look shorter.
It  is a boring colour.
Everyone,
You don't know what you are missing!
Wear it for a few days and find out for yourself.
Yes, I'm hot but you are hot too, right?
Yes, I'm sweating, of course in this humid weather, you are sweating too.
But, I feel rather cool inside it. I feel more secure from the evil whispers inside me. I feel more humble but confident as a person. I am doing more good deeds while I'm wearing it compared to before.
And I feel closer to Allah.
This black cloth made me a better person and hopefully a better Muslim.
This black dress is way better than the other dress that I have and wear.
It is a colour that can makes me feel proud of being a Muslim.
Is there any truth to this email?
Assalamualaikum dear readers.
This is FAKE
I was sorting out my emails just now and to my utter annoyance there were too many spam emails get into my inbox. Among those emails, I received two emails about certain warning regarding FAKE ISLAMIC SITES. I think I've read somewhere about the same thing before but I can't remember where.
Please read this email excerpt and please tell me what you think about it.
Here's the email:
Please send this message to every one you know.
If you don't.... A Muslim(s) around the world could be receiving false information about Islam which you know about, so I would send this messages as soon as u have read it.
Beware of the following websites:
1. www.answering-islam.org
2. www.aboutislam.com
3. www.thequran.com
4. www.allahassurance.com
These sites have been developed by the Jews who intentionally spread wrong information about the QURAN, the HADITH and Islam.
Please spread this information to all the Muslim brothers and sisters around the world.
Always check the source of any Islamic web site even if it is very convincing.
A FAKE AMERICAN QURAAN
Above: 'The True Furqan'
You Cant Ignore this, send it to as many Muslims as u can.
The new AMERICAN Quran: a dangerous trick A new Quran is being distributed in Kuwait , titled 'The True Furqan. It is being described as the ayats of the Shaytan and Al-Furqan weekly magazine has found out that the two American printing companies;'Omega 2001' and 'Wine Press' are involved in the publishing of 'The True Furqan', a book which has also been titled 'The 21st Century Quran'! It is over 366 pages and is in both the Arabic and English languages...it is being distributed to our children in Kuwait in the private English schools! The book contains 77 Surats, which include Al-Fatiha, Al-Jana and Al-Injil. Instead of Bismillah, each Surat begins with a longer version of this incorporating the Christian belief of the three spirits.
And this so called Quran opposes many Islamic beliefs. in one of its ayats it describes having more than one wife as fornication, divorce being non-permissible and it uses a new system for the sharing out of the will, opposing the current one. It states that Jihad is HARAM.
This book even goes as far as attacking Allah, Subhanahu wa Tahala!
All this is poisoning our children at approx. $3.
Brothers and Sisters please make sure you forward this email to as many people as possible so that we can stop this dangerous trick.
Please tell everyone you know and may Allah reward you.
It's like a chain-mail and I don't like forwarding to others this kind of emails. I haven't have time yet to try visiting those websites that were claimed to be developed by Jews with wrong intentions. InsyaAllah after I finished cataloging the abayat, I'm going to check it out.
Saturday, November 14, 2009
Alhamdulillah, the wait is over.
Assalamualaikum dear friends and readers.
Abayat still in the sorting process.
Good news everyone! The second shipment of abayat from Dubai has arrived yesterday. Alhamdulillah. I'm so glad that it arrived when I was at home. I would be too anxious to open the box if I was at work.
So, yesterday afternoon, I've filled my time with cataloging the new stocks, tagging them with namecode and price and also taking pictures for all of them. Phewww... what a tiring day. I slept late last night to make sure all the pre-orders are packed and ready to send to customers. As a result, I come to work with sleepy eyes and aching shoulder-blades because I was stooping so much while doing all the works. Anyway, I am happy, hehe.
InsyaAllah by tonight all pictures with details will be uploaded into ABAYA ELEGAN bloshop and you are welcome to have a look and maybe place an order :D .
In the mean time, enjoy this:
Hijabi Beginner: Having Doubts?
When you realise that you should be adhering to the laws of hijab (and if you are a practising Muslimah, you will sooner or later, Insha'Allah), you can suddenly find a million questions and contradictions to prevent you from wearing it and we all know who that's from.. If you are currently in this predicament, then this video that I found on you tube might make things seem simpler, afterall the concept of hijab is a very simple one but it's choosing to follow it that's the hurdle:
I'm rambling
Assalamualaikum everyone.
Sorry for not doing any updates since this morning. I was a bit busy with the family and also trying to do some readings because I've been neglecting my books for quite sometime.
When you are living in a big family like mine, you'll have more responsibilities to fulfill especially when you are the eldest among the siblings. FYI, I'm not the eldest child but I'm currently the eldest in this house so, I have to be more responsible towards my parents who has been sheltering me and hubby while our own house is being built.
Today, my older sister arrived home for a visit. She's a teacher who teaches religious classes and also Arabic. A few months ago I've written here about her miscarriage. Alhamdulillah, she brings home a good news for us, she's pregnant again. The whole family is so happy for her especially because she's having a girl after two boys.
As for business matters, my bookstore is doing ok although we have a bit of a problem with our landlord. InsyaAllah the problem will be solved soon and we might be moving to another location early next year. It will be a better location than the current one, insyaAllah.
And my abaya business is doing rather good considering I only have a small selections with me. InsyaAllah tomorrow the shipment will arrived and next week I can open up a promotion table at a few places. I've already recieved two invitations to open up a stall selling my books and the abayat. I am hoping to do my best in introducing the abayat to my local market. Please pray for my success.
I got to pen off now, my book is calling.
Would you like some home made bread?
Assalamualaikum dear friends and readers. May all of you are in good health and happily enjoying your life out there. But don't forget to remember Allah who has bestow upon us the rahmah and ni'mah of life.
It's a rather hot and balmy night and husband is already asleep. He had quite a busy day today and me too. However I'm not sleepy yet and right now trying to enjoy reading a book. It's an educational book and I know soon my eyes would start feeling heavy.
And now my stomach is growling for food because I was thinking of baking again. Thinking of the bread that I have baked a few days ago, I just can smell the wonderful sweet aroma coming from the freshly baked loaf.
Mmmm.... smells yummy!
I do love baking my own bread and the whole family love whatever bread that I make. Last Friday I baked a loaf of bread, enough for having afternoon tea. But it's not enough for a second helping. Huhu... I wish my hands can stand the mixing and kneading process for a second time but it's too hard to do it. Yes, I don't have a breadmaker so everything is hand made.
And now bread is all I'm thinking about. Maybe I can encourage myself to bake one delicious bread and eat it with my yummy raspberries spread. Mmmm... aren't you hungry girls?
Subhanallah...
I'm glad I built this house double storey.
I can bask in this view almost everyday.
And the air is so breezy.
