Being simple during the trip.

Assalamualaikum dear readers and friends.

It's another busy day for me after the holiday. I have 3 different accounts to close and life has started to feel like I'm living in a war zone. Dateline... dateline...  Well, it is my fault for not being one great accountant but a manageress who have to take over someone else job. Life has to go on and by the end of this week, all those accounts must be balanced and closed. May Allah bless me with clear mind and good health so that I can do this job very very well.

Anyway, enough talking about my work, let's take a look at what I have worn during my trip to Hattyai, Thailand. 3 days, so there were 3 different outfits. Here's the first one worn on the first day.

I'm wearing abaya C29 from Laniz Collection.

For the second day, I wore an all black abaya, with a side opening, a bit like a kimono. I don't know whether you can see it clearly or not.

The all black abaya with black embroidery. Abaya AR100.

And on the last day, I chose to wear the black with brown stripes jilbab which I have designed myself. It was custom made in 2000. Yes, the jilbab is already 10 years old but it is still in a good condition and I can still fit myself in it, alhamdulillah.

In front of Krue Se Mosque in Pattani.

I know some muslimah like to wear pants when they are touring but for me abaya or jilbab is always suitable and easy for me to pray. We Malays like to wear 'kain sembahyang' for praying but I prefer praying in my clothes provided that I'm confident that is's clean.

So, it's up to you and your comfort to wear whatever you like. I don't have the authority to ask you to follow me. Remember, be comfortable in whatever we wear as long as we're sure that Allah will like it. Wassalam.

A Trip to Haatyai 2 Nights 3 Days

Assalamualaikum dear friends.

Last 3 days I was in Haatyai, Thailand with husband for a holiday. Actually it was a company family trip. And as a wife of one of it's staff, I'm lucky to have a free trip. Alhamdulillah. And these are some of the photos that I've selected to share here with you.

23 Dec 2010, Thursday

At the border, waiting for the ferry to cross the river from Pengkalan Kubor (Malaysia) to Takbai (Thailand).

On the ferry with my sick husband.

That's our ferry. The yellow one. And you can see Takbai in the distance.

Thailand, here I come.
To be continued.

AirAsia giving away a million free seats

PETALING JAYA: Low-cost carrier AirAsia is giving away a million free seats starting Tuesday.
The booking period for the “Free Seats” promotion begins Tuesday and ends Sunday, for a travel period between Jan 3 and May 8 next year.
Customers can choose among 130 destinations to 20 countries including India, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and China.
AirAsia's regional commercial head Kathleen Tan said that they have received many enquiries on the airline's social platforms about this promotion.
“This is the best chance for our guests to plan and book their flights for next year and take advantage of Kuala Lumpur's status as a gateway to Asia, Australia and Europe to connect globally,” she said in a statement Monday.
To complement the free flights, Tan added that AirAsia's one-stop travel portal was also offering online hotel deals from 70,000 hotels worldwide, tour packages and free tours and transfers to selected destinations via AirAsiaGo at www.airasiago.com.
For more information on free seats and other promotions, visit www.airasia.com or mobile.airasia.com.

I am thinking of taking a vacation to Indonesia next year. If I planned it nicely, insyaallah I might get this FREE SEATS for me and Hubby. Even though I really wish to go to UAE first, however, Indonesia is closer and cheaper.

Well... anyone following me?

I was at the Malaysian Parliament last week.

Assalamualaikum and a very good evening to all my friends.

I'm so sorry for not updating this blog as much as I can. Recently, life has been making lots of changes which involves my dear husband and of course me too. One of them is his job with a local Assemblyman who is very enthusiastic in his da'wah and political works. My husband has been making lots of freelancing for web designing and he's also selling domain and webhosting. Alhamdulillah he met with a very energetic client who's also an assemblyman. I like what he's doing now because I can see that he's happy with his job. He seldom looks sad and grumpy anymore. Thank you Allah.

Last week he asked me to accompany him to the Parliament because he'll be doing a news coverage for the Kelantan Backbenches Team's official trip there. And we will be sponsored for a 2 days 2 nights stay in Kuala Lumpur. Of course, I want to go. This is the first time we travel together to Kuala Lumpur after 8 years of marriage. Alhamdulillah...it was such a memorable trip for both of us. You can read more here but it's in Malay.

This afternoon I am going to the Jom Heboh carnival in Kota Bharu because I want to see what's the difference of this program from other Jom Hebohs in other town in Malaysia. Hopefully this one will be Islamic compared to the others. Just wait and see.
