Blogging helps me make money

Let's talk a bit about blogging and making money.

You must have notice that KakChik's Wardrobe has advertisements from Nuffnang and Google Adsense. These 2 blog advertising company are known to be helping bloggers in generating money through blogging. FYI, Nuffnang is known and available in certain countries in Asia while Google Ads, well everyone already knows, right.

Right now I am not going to talk about Google Ads but Nuffnang.

Since late 2008, I've been reading lots of my friend's blog posts about making money with Nuffnang. As I was a curious type of person, I took the opportunity to make a research about it and read as much blog posts as I can.

The first thing is to get to know about the company. After I feel comfortable and confidence that putting it's codes in my blog is not haram and I am not helping any kind of haram adverts, I registered. Free of charge.

My sole purpose is to generate money as an allowance for my free sharing here. Even though I have section for advertisements but they are not always profitable. So I think why not? I just have to embed the codes at strategic places and let my blogging enthusiasm do the rest.

If people like what I wrote, they'll visit my blog and that definitely will help in increasing the income. It's not much but helpful. I have no intention of forcing people to visit this blog just for the sake of increasing the CPC (Cost Per Click) or CPM (Cost Per Impression). It's because I visit and read others' blog without force too. FORCE here means this type of statement:

"Salam. I've followed you, follow me back." 

After six months of blogging, I cashed out my earnings from Nuffnang. Alhamdulillah last week the cheque has arrived but I haven't have time to deposit it yet.

All I can say is alhamdulillah and thank you for all of you who have been visiting, reading and clicking the advertisements. Those actions helped me generate some income for this blog. Actually the cheque is not solely from this blog. It is accumulated from all my 5 blogs that have Nuffnang adverts. Not much but helpful.

So far I'll stick to the 2 blog advertising companies. Hopefully they stay halal.

This is really a one happy day for me. You know what? One of the Nuffnang advertisers has decided to advertise their products in this blog. For the first time KakChik's Wardrobe received a Buffered Earning advert. Usually it's the Keluargaku Sayang's blog.

I am very happy with this new development.

This is like making money while blogging. 

I have been letting Nuffnang to advertise in this blog since 29 September 2009 and I have never get a buffered earning here except for Campaigns. Thank you Nuffnang and DiGi for choosing to advertise here. Hopefully this blog will generate more readers after this and also help me with the cost of maintaining it.

How much do I earn?

For CPM campaigns

• What you earn depends on the number of Average Unique visitors you received in the week that the ad campaign is built.
• You will then be arranged into specific “Blogger bands” that directly correspond to your number of Average Unique visitors.
• For each campaign, you will be paid a fixed amount for every ad unit. The amount depends on what your Blogger band is. The higher your Blogger band (i.e. more unique visitors), the higher your earnings.
• All information on your blogger band and your earnings can be viewed within your CMS Earnings Page. All information will be updated within 3 working days after the ad campaign is completed.

For CPC campaigns

• You earn by the number of unique clicks generated by your unique visitors on the ad unit that is running the CPC campaign.
• Your earnings will be credited 3 days after the CPC campaign ends. A CPC campaign ends when it reaches its maximum number of clicks.
• Should your blog display a CPC ad but not generate any clicks on the ad unit, no earnings will be accumulated and updated.

For MCPM (Metered CPM) campaigns

• Advertisers buy a set of unique visitors from your blog that will be able to see their ads on your blog for a certain number of weeks.
• The earnings for your mCPM campaign will be held in Buffered Earnings while the campaign is running till your blog finish serving the number of uniques the advertisers bought from your blog. Once your blog finish serving the number of uniques, the earnings will be credited to your Current Earnings.

My Favourite Surfing Spot

Assalamualaikum and a very good afternoon everyone.

This is the second time I'm entering a Nuffnang's contest and this time it's under the Project Alpha. This one is for the Instant Cash Blogging contest. And this week's contest topic is My Favourite Surfing Spot.

As for me, my bedroom is always the best place for me to surf either day or night. It's because I have a SOHO bedroom to suit my life style.

Surfing is like an important routine in my daily schedule. I would be spending most of my time in front of the laptop at a small office inside my bedroom. If I feel like dozing of for a bit, the bed is just a few feet away.

Another best thing to surf at my favourite spot is because my dearest husband would also be nearby. Actually our working space is set up close together so that we can be side by side doing our work.

Since dearest husband bought the new Streamyx wireless modem, accessing the internet is so fast and easy at any nooks and corners of our house but the bedroom is still my favourite. I have everything that I need there and I always make sure that the room is neat and tidy.

So, I can always surf the Nuffnang websites and also the Project Alpha's to read their new updates. Ever since I signed up with Nuffnang, I seldom join their contest but once in a while if I see that it is suitable, I would try my luck.

Like this contest, it is to show my support for the Project Alpha and also to earn easy money - yes, Instant Cash Blogging is what they call it. 

P1 Wimax Wiggy

Well since I have the Streamyx at home and at the office, I seldom need a broadband. However, it might be nice to have a P1 Wimax Wiggy as a handy gadget because you never know where you will be needing the internet. It will be a bonus to own one.
